The Distance of the Moon

Loosely based on Cosmicomics by Italo Calvino, this sculpture features a space-fisherman who tethers himself to a rotating moon and casts his rod into a golden vastness. The moon’s rotation is driven by a solar-powered motor, and small magnets cause the fisherman to activate and turn while making his revolutions.
